I wouldn't consider Go-busters "too serious" or "very dark", but I do miss that kind of atmosphere.

Oh yeah, Go-Busters was so very serious. The Scenes with Hiromu's fear of chickens and the wacky antics with the Buddyroids were definitely played up for high drama.

Stop remembering what you want to remember. No Sentai has ever been serious through and through. Even Jetman had episodes like the ramen one.

Just because the cast looks cheerful and acts funny doesn't mean the show won't be serious. ToqGer had a childish looking cast, but the main plot was pretty dark and serious

One thing I found interesting is that it looks like the Red Ranger is gonna be the responsible one from what was seen in the latest promo since he's the only human on the team and therefore the everyman. Which I am glad since I am Daigo/Takaharu'd out.

That would be very nice and refreshing.

No Sentai has ever been serious through and through. Even Jetman had episodes like the ramen one.

The problem is today, most Sentai and even Rider episodes are like the ramen one. The more serious material gets less attention, or is drowned out by said wacky hijinks.

Zyuohger's opening theme will be sung by Hideaki Takatori, who previously sung Hurricaneger's opening theme. The end theme will be sung by Yohei Onishi, who performed Ninninger's opening theme. The end theme will feature a dance choreographed by by Papaya Suzuki, who previously created the dance for Kyoryuger's end theme.

just to add, Hideaki Takatori's more recent Sentai work would be Kyoryuger's ED.

I think it's too early to say we will "never" have another serious Sentai again. But not during an anniversary when Toei/Bandai are looking to make money and will do something they know is going to sell. They will be more likely to take creative risks the year after the anniversary when all the "regular" stuff has been exhausted and they're looking for somewhere new to take the franchise (plus, they're in the habit of doing a 3-Ranger team after an anniversary cos it saves money, so the show looks a bit different visually anyway ...)

Well, dancing in the ED is common, and they most likely want to do it again because Kyoryuger's ED dance was popular. It's probably better than something like ToQger where half the time they wouldn't bother to air an ending sequence at all ...
