2013 Rider: Kamen Rider Gaim - News/Rumors thread

It might be just me, but it seems like they're tryin' to push alot of toys with gaim, which I don't have a problem because I like alot of forms and riders and cool stuff to look at. Anyways, for that reason, and because we are still very early in the show, I really feel that the kachidoki lock is probably not his final form. It doesn't seem climactic enough, or connected to the main story enough. I'm guessing the final form will have some sort of significance in terms of the norse or biblical themes. I guess we haven't seen what kachidoki's place in the story is though, so maybe I'm wrong.

It's not that much more than usually.

A Belt, some weapons and a bunch of collectables that work with the belt is pretty normal for the first quarter. Now in the second quarter we have; A new belt and a new weapon (Filling the Secondary Rider slot from the last few years) and more of the collectables.

How come all 4 Energy Riders have the same weapon? And these short bows don't seemed very intimidating, quite frankly.

Contextually it makes sense, they're uniform. They are like a small Yggdrasill army. Ignoring the Kurokage Troopers, that is.

Speaking of Kurokage.... oh Hase </3 I don't think anyone pointed this out, but... Pierre coming to Yggdrasill? This could go one of two ways; He's asked what the hell he has a belt for, or he's hired to hunt the other Riders. If the latter, I actually don't think he'd become Sigurd. Or I hope not. I like him better as Bravo - Zangetsu so far is the only one who was a previous Rider.

I don't think there pushing enough toys. There are no DX Acorn, Pinecone or Durain locks or DX weapons/faceplates for Gridon, Kurokage, and Bravo. I demand them!

I would definitely like to see those three get DX releases. The general agreement I've seen (on this forum too, I think) is that they might put out the DX Lockseeds and faceplates for them when we see a Super Best release of the Sengoku Driver. And if I'm wealthy by then... sign me up.

One thing I'm kind of surprised by is the lack of releases in recent years for the vinyls. That is, the standard figure-sized line of them. During Wizard I was waiting to see if they would make Mage, but I never saw anything come out. Here with Gaim, while they have been released as miniature vinyls, there's no figure-sized Gridon, Kurokage or Bravo.

I could be wrong, since I don't follow vinyls very heavily, but wasn't the joke "If they don't get a figure then they'll at least get a vinyl"? It's just strange they were cranking these out during the first few episodes, then suddenly they just drop them once the main four are introduced. They've only made Bujin Gaim and New Zangetsu since then.

Then again, maybe they will get them later, and the crazy fast pacing of the show is just throwing me off that badly.

Hey guys i found out that certain someone from Toei make an itsi bitsi mistake and updated the website of the series with the informations of the episode 13. After the surprise appearence of Zangetsu-Shin (next week), a mysterious incurable disease starts to spread in Zawame. Those who contract it are mainly the people attacked by Inves. People start to accuse the Beat Riders because they play with them. Even though, Kota is still determined to protect people who are still attacked by more and more Inves. Meanwhile, Yggdrasill contacts Pierre (who has now a new protégé in the person of Jono’uchi) and tells him to attack Kota and Kaito. After the destruction of his Driver, Hase loses the trust of his Team Raid Wild and starts having a breakdown.

I think Pierre being contacted by Yggdrasil will be some sort of red herring towards who Sigurd is. It does seem more likely that Hase would be Sigurd than Pierre would. Hase is looking for power, and with the 'era of the Lock Dealers' over he'd have to search elsewhere for power.

The only reason I think they'd hide Sigurd's identity is because it is Hase. If it were Sid or a brand new character they would've revealed who he was right away.

It could also be Yuuya though.

Anyway, I guess Pierre being contacted by Yggdrazil is what will lead to Baron and Gaim fighting together against him. He probably agrees to work for them and that will lead to conflict against the remaining Beat Riders.
