2013 aka The 20th Anniversary of Power Rangers

Because you expect TOEI will get old Sentai actors to show up?? Obviously it'll be some AU shenanigan and once you start dealing with AU you can cast anybody you want.

You know, they might bring back the actors, or they might just go the Decade route and hire new actors for the roles and the story might be some alternate dimension **** that makes no sense in the end.

Haim Saban is to fucking cheap to do anything special, and the actors know how much of a dick he is and probably won't do it unless it's union (which he will never do)

QFT.

I hope he has no involvement in the show rather than own it. Maybe we can get someone better to run the show. I know what you're talking about , especially with the whole David Yost interview.

Goukaiger is just a rumor right now anyways. I hope Saban does pull strings in Toei to make another Zyuranger-like series or similar to make it into a direct sequel.

My understanding is that the Toei/Saban relationship was always very close, almost symbiotic (much the opposite with Disney -- apparently the fans weren't the only ones that didn't care for them) and while I won't go as far as to say Saban has any direct say on Sentai (as I'd probably be lynched) I believe he gets notes and is always in talks with the Toei people.

If the current rumor proves true I do not doubt for a second they would help make it accessible for Saban; possibly along the lines of highlighting post 92 teams, working with him on what actors he would be able to get and refs/visuals to older teams being in the "obviously cuttable" episodes.

I'm trying to keep up with the latest Sentai rumors, but I believe it was confirmed today that it is definitely following a "Decade-like" trend. Yes?

I think that was verified a while ago.

Also, we can't be sure if Saban & Tzachor will take the anniversary route, but I'd rather they shot it mostly original this time around.

Seeing as how good Saban's relationship with Toei is. I wonder if there might be a slight chance of them celebrating the return of Power Rangers to Saban, by having a Power Rangers world in Gokaiger. If anything, maybe the dvd special.

Just Imagine the sheer awesome of Tommy and Lord Zedd in a Super Sentai episode.
