Mexico take down Japan 3-1, becoming the first team to score against them in the tournament thus far. Japan was pretty much in control of the first half, but they started to fall apart quickly in the second. I figured the loss of dos Santos might have hurt Mexico, seeing them score two more goals was not something I expected. At half time there was no doubt in my mind that the game would go to penalties, but man, Mexico really came back and took control. That last goal was especially nice, having four guys in your immediate personal space can't make for easy shooting.
Still sticking to my calls that Mexico will take the gold, but now I think Japan might end up with the bronze. I kiiiiind of hope South Korea makes it to the finals now, if only to have a CONCACAF and Asian team both make it in for the first time.
