I can't belive how many medals my fellow Americans are racking in. Usually, Norway or Germany is the top country. Well, it's early. But I'm proud of my country's athletes. :patriotic:

Your thoughs?

I've only watched Hockey.(No surprise there :P) i don't get to see much as i would like, but I'm watching Russia VS Slovakia now . (USA beat Norway earlier today 6-1.)
USA is doing pretty well, 18 medals so far. I'm Surprised. Keep it up!

As a hockey fan in general, the Canada VS USA game that just finished was majorly awesome. Nevermind the rivalry the 2 nations share in this, but right out of the gate both teams played hard, full of drive and full of passion. Gotta give props to the USA defence and particularly to goalie Ryan Miller. They did a great job of frustrating our Canadian players and making sure that any shots that they did get would be turned away. The American forwards did a great job of forechecking and limiting what our guys could do. The entire team played at their fullest and they totally earned and deserve this win. It was a fast-paced, intense game that is easily the most entertaining of the games so far.

Now with that being said...as a Canadian hockey fan...

Ah,a fellow hockey fan.
i agree, that was a great game. i knew it was going to be good, but this was more than i was expecting. intense, back and forth action, good hits. all around good hockey game. Martin Brodeur was a little off playing the puck this game, which was odd. Ryan miller i think was the difference,he was the reason why U.S won that game. it's easily my favorite game of the Olympics so far.
(Finland is losing to Sweden 3-0 right now.)

btw, who is your favorite hockey team? or do you have one?

The Canada-US game was the semi-final though right? So wouldn't that means we still got a shot at Bronze?
