Here’s a unique one as far as indie horror is concerned. One Tree Entertainment will soon be bringing the horror-comedy Eldritch USA to home theater formats this Halloween. Geoff and Rich are two brothers who have always grown up in conflict, competing with each other for all there is in life. The problem is no matter how hard Geoff, the younger brother, tries, Rich always beats him to his own goals and leaves him in the dust. Their parents like Rich more, Rich gets better girlfriends, Rich gets better jobs. Geoff has had enough and decides it’s time to even the score through any means necessary. And if that means making a shady deal with a sinister cult, then so be it! Yeah….it doesn’t go well. Geoff winds up causing a mini-apocalypse in his own small town. But hey, maybe Rich knows what to do! Eldritch USA stars Graham Weldin, Andy Phinney, Cameron Perry and Aline O’Neill. It was directed by Ryan Smith and Tyler Foreman, and it’ll be coming to Blu-Ray and DVD October 22, followed by a digital release November 5. That’s right, the physical comes first this time. I love how they mixed horror and comedy. I'm totally gonna check it out. The idea of a brother wanting to outdo his sibling is hilarious. I can't wait to see how it all plays out. I'm also a big fan of Lovecraft, so I'm excited to see how they incorporate his work into the story. I've been looking for a new horror movie to watch, and this one seems like the perfect mix of scares and laughs.
