Dying Light: Legendary Levels Revealed
Techland this week revealed some of the new features and upgrades for the upcoming Dying Light: The Following – Enhanced Edition. One of the new features for the Enhanced Edition included in the game will be Legendary Levels. You can also check out a new video trailer explaining the Legendary Levels in the player below.
When a player maxes out a skill tree, they will start getting points toward their Legendary Levels. The Legendary Skill Tree will let you further develop your character in-game. Players will be able to boost their damage, stamina, health and other various stats. At every 25-level tier, players will gain access to new emblems, new outfits and new weapons.
Speaking on the concept lead game designer Maciej Binkowski stated: “We listen closely to our community and hear many voices that people who did every single thing in Dying Light want more. Legendary Levels are one of the ways how we’re making the post-game content more meaty. We’re adding 250 additional levels, so you can keep on developing your character while unlocking new weapons, outfits, emblems, and skills. It means massive replayability.”
The good news is that the Legendary Levels will not be exclusive to the Enhanced Edition. They will also be available through the free updates through the regular version of the game. The free updates will be released later in 2016. New skills and gameplay upgrades like the Legendary Levels appear to be a welcome addition to an already immersive game with quite a bit of depth. Some other developers could probably learn a thing or two from Techland.
Dying Light: The Following – Enhanced Edition is due out on February 9, 2016. The new version will feature all the content and updates released for the game so far, along with the new massive expansion for Dying Light, The Following. The free improvement update, which will include the Legendary Levels, will be distributed at the same time.
