Disney Infinity: New Characters and Figures Announced
During the first addition of today’s Disney Infinity Next video series, Disney Interactive unveiled its spring rollout plan for Disney Infinity 3.0. Disney Interactive will continue to support the game throughout this year, including new figures, playsets and more from across the Disney pantheon and also Marvel Comics. First up, Disney has released new figurines for the game based on the new animated movie Zootopia for Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde, along with four new power discs. In addition, Disney Interactive confirmed that Baloo from The Jungle Book is in the works to coincide with the new, upcoming live action film this year due out on April 15. Baloo looks to be based on his iteration from the classic Disney animated feature.
On the Marvel side of things, the new Marvel Battlegrounds playset will launch on March 15. New Marvel characters and figurines that are getting released include a new Captain America based on the upcoming film, Captain America: Civil War, Black Panther, Ant-Man and The Vision. You can also check out the Marvel Battlegrounds trailer in the player below. Battlegrounds will be a four-player arcade style brawler. It will feature an original storyline where the evil Loki and Ultron team up to try and take over the world. Levels include Knowhere and Wakandan mines. The playset will be compatible for all Disney Infinity Marvel characters. Also, a new Black Symbiote Suit Spider-Man was also revealed. These figures all look like great new additions to the game. However, Dark Wing Duck is still missing in action. Disney Infinity 3.0 is available now across all platforms.
