Animal Among Us To Be Unleashed In November
Here are two words I haven’t heard in a long time: Larisa Oleynik. Apparently she HAS been working, most recently — if the credits supplied are to be believed — in Mad Men. I wouldn’t know how substantial a role she had, as I couldn’t make it five episodes into that series without (1) being bored out of my mind and (2) being so turned off by the protagonists that I couldn’t stand any more of them.
But this November, the 90s’ favorite female shapeshifter will be seen again….in Animal Among Us, an upcoming horror film from Uncork’d. It is a basic oldschool slasher with a werewolf-like monster at its center: fifteen years ago two teenage girls were found dead at a campground, and the evidence left behind seemed to suggest an animal attack. The camp was shut down, but whatever went after those girls still lurks today….
And it’s after Oleynik, along with her co-stars: Christian Oliver (“Sense8”, House of Good & Evil), Don Frye, Christine Donlon, Jonathan Murphy, Erin Daniels, Heather Tom, Jasmine Dustin, and Whitney Davis. Animal Among Us was directed by John Woodruff, and it’ll arrive on DVD and VOD platforms November 19.
Fifteen years ago, two teenage girls were murdered at Merrymaker Campgrounds. The case was filed as an animal attack, the camp was condemned, and the killer never found. But something horrific still waits in those woods, ready to kill again.
