Wonder Woman is How Old in Batman v Superman?
Though “only” roughly 10 months away, there’s still A LOT we don’t know about the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. A lot of which is about the three main DC characters we’ll see in the movie. Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman.
There’s a lot of speculation on the character of Wonder Woman, as the most we’ve gotten on her that we know is fact is her attire, everything else has been up in the air or rumor. Well, another rumor has surfaced that may point to which origin she is taking up in the movie universe.
Heroic Hollywood dropped this news/rumor on it’s Instagram page, and stated the following:
“In Batman v Superman, Wonder Woman is old. Very old. How old? In the movie there are pictures of her that date HUNDREDS OF YEARS! BOOM!”
Depending on your knowledge of Wonder Woman, this may or may not be a shock. Mainly because there’s been two origins for Diana that have her aged differently. In the New 52 (the current line of comics), Diana is a demigod, but a young one, only 23. Whereas her original origin had her being brought to life from clay, and has been alive for hundreds (if not thousands) of years before coming the Wonder Woman we all know.
Earlier, a rumor stated that she would be a daughter of Zeus, and not a clay statue brought to life. If true, this could mean they’re playing to both origins, making her a demigod, but one that’s been around a while.
This also lends credence to the rumor that the solo Wonder Woman film would take place decades before BVS and Justice League.
Again, it’s all rumor for now, but it is something to think upon.
