Developer CD Projekt Red today announced the release date for its upcoming RPG The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt. The game will be released on PC, PlayStation 4 and XBox One on February 24, 2015 as announced during a summer conference by the developer today. The developer also released the following trailer for The Witcher 3.

It’s immediately obvious that The Witcher 3 looks gorgeous; clearly the focus on next generation development in favour of cross generation development has allowed the team to push the extra power available on higher spec PCs and the PS4 + XBox One. It’s also worth nothing that all footage in the trailer is in-game. There’s lots to take from the new trailer for The Witcher 3 including fighting giant monsters, sailing across a torrid sea and some stunning lighting effects.

As if announcing the release date for The Witcher 3 and giving gamers a new trailer, developer CD Projekt Red also offered up information regarding the collectors edition of the game.

  • A developer-created “Witcher Universe – The Compendium”
  • The Witcher 3 game map

The absolutely epic Collectors Edition for The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt contains all of the Standard Editions goodies, plus the following;
