Made by the indie studio VoodooDuck, Collector’s Cove is a exploration-based game all about farming and collecting. With vibrant colors and chill gameplay, the team sought to create an experience that was both adventurous and cozy. All the while you ride alongside a lovable plesiosaur pal!

While the game has a demo out on Steam already, an updated demo is planned for the upcoming Steam Next Fest on February 23. Those that play this demo can also carry over any progress they make into the full game when it eventually releases. Whether your a fan of exploration, collecting, or farming, this cozy game will have something for you to enjoy!

SAIL ACROSS THE SEA WITH YOUR ADORABLE DINOSAUR PAL

Taking control of a customizable character, you traverse the seas in the name of collecting! You explore uncharted islands and collect everything that you can to achieve the lofty rank of Named-Collector. Your travels will have you collecting everything, from creatures, to materials, and even plants to raise your standing!

Using the plants that you gather, you cultivate crops and build a floating farm on your ship. On top of this, you can craft into decorations to spruce up and personalize your cozy home with materials you gather. However, your boat is not the only thing that you can customize!

Pulling your boat is a massive, adorable plesiosaur who you can personalize just like your character and ship. The dinosaur can have their colors and patterns changed, as well as adding accessories to increase their already substantial cuteness. Change how they look to suit your style, and give them a pat every now and then to thank them for their hard work!

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THIS COZY ADVENTURE GAME

Farm: Cultivate your own farm on the deck of a ship, surrounded by the open sea!
Discover: Sail across uncharted waters and forage on unseen islands!
Collect: Find rare crops and fish on your quest to fill in every page of the Collector’s Compendium!
Befriend: Forge a bond and customise your trusty dinosaur friend who can lend a fin whenever needed!
Personalise: Craft useful items from foraged materials and transform your boat into your own home!

This looks exactly like the kind of game I need right now. I’m so tired of stressful shooters and dark stories. Sailing around with a big cute dinosaur pulling my boat? Yes please. Farming on the water while collecting flowers and fish sounds super relaxing. I already wishlisted it and downloaded the demo last night. The part about carrying progress to the full game is smart too. I hope they keep the art style bright like this forever. My only worry is if the collecting gets repetitive later, but so far it seems chill. Can’t wait for the updated demo next week.

Finally a cozy game that isn’t just another Stardew clone on land. A boat, a plesiosaur buddy, exploring islands… that’s fresh. I love how you can change the dinosaur’s colors and put little hats or ribbons on it. That’s the detail that makes me smile. The floating farm idea is cool too, growing stuff while the waves move around you. I’m definitely playing the demo during Next Fest. If the full release stays this peaceful in 2026 I’m buying day one. VoodooDuck, please don’t add any combat, keep it pure cozy.

Okay but why is the dinosaur so huge and adorable at the same time? I want to pat it 24/7. The customization for the boat and the dino looks really deep, not just basic recolors. Collecting to fill a whole compendium sounds satisfying without being punishing. I’m not even a big farmer but sailing + collecting + decorating a ship home? That’s my vibe. Already added to wishlist. Hope the music is soft ocean waves and gentle piano. Anyone else hyped or am I alone here?

Looks pretty but I’m skeptical. Every cozy game says “chill gameplay” then halfway through it turns into grindy fetch quests. The collecting everything to rank up part worries me a little. If it’s just endless running around islands picking plants I might get bored fast. The dinosaur is cute though, I give them that. Floating farm is a nice twist. I’ll try the demo but if it feels empty after 2 hours I’m out. Still, good luck to the devs, indie games need more love.

I enjoy collecting systems in games, so the idea of filling a Collector’s Compendium sounds very appealing. When games track what you have found, it makes exploration more meaningful for me. I also like that you can gather plants and then actually grow them on the ship. That connects the exploration and farming together in a logical way. The dinosaur companion looks charming too. I hope the game includes small interactions with the plesiosaur, like feeding it or upgrading it, because that could make the bond feel stronger. This sounds relaxing but I hope it does not become repetitive. Many cozy games start strong but later the tasks become the same every day. Sailing, collecting plants, and farming crops is a good loop, but it needs enough variety to stay interesting. Maybe different weather at sea or rare islands that appear sometimes could help with that. The dinosaur companion is a good idea though. It adds personality to the journey and makes the boat travel feel less lonely. I also like that you can customize almost everything. When players can change their ship and character, it helps them feel connected to the game world. I will check the demo to see if the exploration feels rewarding. If every trip to a new island gives something unique, then the gameplay could stay enjoyable for a long time.

YESSSS another game where I can ignore real life and just sail forever with my giant sea noodle friend. The screenshots are so colorful, my eyes are happy already. Customizing the plesiosaur is going to waste so many hours of my life and I’m fine with it. Farming on a boat deck while waves rock you gently? That’s peak cozy for me. I’m telling all my friends about this. We’re doing a group play session during Next Fest for sure. 2026 can’t come soon enough.

Cute dinosaur? Instant buy for me. No questions asked. The whole sailing and collecting loop looks relaxing and I need that after work. Changing patterns on the plesiosaur is such a fun idea, I’m already planning pink with stars. Floating crops on the ship deck is genius too. Hope there’s a lot of different islands so it doesn’t feel small. Demo is downloaded, see you all in Next Fest playing it
