The LEGO Batman Movie Gets Its First Teaser Trailer
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice might be getting savaged by critics, but Warner Bros. Pictures might have another Batman Gambit ace up its sleeves. The first teaser trailer was released this week for The LEGO Batman Movie, the upcoming cinematic spinoff to the smash hit, The LEGO Movie. You can check out the video below.
The more irreverent, comedic version of Batman is back for a new animated adventure. The new trailer gives a sense of the comedy and flavor for the film. Batman introduces the trailer while he’s doing some beat-boxing. The video showcases a gag where Batman returns to the big, empty Batcave. He also microwaves a lobster dinner, which is hilarious.
The upcoming animated film is due out later in 2017. Here’s an official synopsis:
In the irreverent spirit of fun that made “The LEGO Movie” a worldwide phenomenon, the self-described leading man of that ensemble – LEGO Batman – stars in his own big-screen adventure. But there are big changes brewing in Gotham, and if he wants to save the city from The Joker’s hostile takeover, Batman may have to drop the lone vigilante thing, try to work with others and maybe, just maybe, learn to lighten up.
