One of the biggest complaints in movies nowadays is that there’s nothing original, and instead, all we get are remakes, rehashes, sequels, etc. And while the Oscars proved that’s not exactly the case (with The Shape Of Water winning Best Picture and Get Out getting best original screenplay), when you hear that Terminator 6 is coming…you start to understand what they mean.
The film series was at one time the biggest sci-fi series out there. But, once Terminator 3 came, everything changed. After that came, Terminator Salvation, which was meant to be a trilogy itself, but didn’t get off the ground like many expected. And then, there was Terminator Genisys, which boggled many people’s minds. So, it was a surprise when Terminator 6 was revealed to be happen. Yet, it is, and according to the one and only Arnold Schwarzenegger, it’s going to start filming soon.
“We are starting to shoot Terminator 6 in June to the middle of October, so I am in that,” Schwarzenegger said to TheArnoldFans. “I am looking forward to coming back as the T-800 model. It’s gonna be great with Tim Miller as the director, and Jim Cameron is kind of supervising the whole thing.”
There is potential for this to do well, but we’ll just have to see.
