NAMCO BANDAI Games Europe S.A.S., today announced that TEKKEN™HYBRID, a collection of the new full-length 3D compatible feature film TEKKEN™Blood Vengeance 3D, TEKKEN™Tag Tournament HD, and, TEKKEN™ Tag tournament 2 prologue will be releasing on Blu-Ray exclusively for the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system this Autumn.
TEKKEN ™ Tag Tournament 2 Prologue, a new stand-alone fighting game vignette in TEKKEN’s classic “Tag Tournament” style, will feature four playable characters that appear in the upcoming movie TEKKEN®Blood Vengeance 3D; Alisa, Xiaoyu, Devil Kazuya and an unannounced character. Each character will have a costume directly from the movie that will be exclusive to TEKKEN™Hybrid , plus a costume from how the characters appear in TEKKEN ™ Tag Tournament 2, which is currently only available in arcades across Japan.

Set in the rich Tekken universe, TEKKEN Blood Vengeance 3D follows Xiaoyu Ling, seasoned martial artist and high school student, tasked by the G Corporation to infiltrate an international school in Kyoto to gather information on the mysterious student Shin Kamiya. Before she can make any progress in the investigation, Shin is kidnapped by an unknown assailant. Digging deeper into Shin’s background in an attempt to rescue him, Xiaoyu learns about the frightening underbelly of the Mishima Zaibatsu. Jin Kazama, Kazuya Mishima and the late Heihachi Mishima’s conspiracy that’s stained with blood.
Created in full CG, TEKKEN Blood Vengeance 3D is being produced by Digital Frontier (Resident Evil: Degeneration, Death Note and Appleseed), with the screenplay written by Dai Sato (Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex and Cowboy Bebop) and the score composed by Hitoshi Sakimoto (Ogre Battle, Final Fantasy Tactics, and Tekken 6). Directing the project will be Youichi Mouri, who directed the opening movies for both Tekken™ 5 and Tekken™ 6: Bloodline Rebellion.

Bringing together a movie, bonus video content, a full HD remake, and a special prologue of the latest TEKKEN arcade title all in one disc has been challenging, but has resulted in a truly innovative and unique product in the PlayStation 3 system’s history.”
