Inside Co-Developer unveils New Studio And Game
Playdead co-founder Dino Patti, who helped create both critically acclaimed games Limbo and Inside, has started a new studio to develop the upcoming Somerville. The sci-fi adventure game is the first title created by Jumpship, a new UK-based development team headed up by Patti and Chris Olsen, a film animator who has worked on projects such as Avengers: Age of Ultron. Despite posting a short teaser trailer online, the studio has not released any other information about the game. That means it is unclear when it will release or on what platforms people will be able to play it on. However, Patti did confirm that they were looking for additional staff to work on the game. Patti left Playdead just a month after the release under difficult circumstances. He and co-founder Arnt Jensen went through a messy period stemming from an incident in 2015 when the two argued over who actually owned the rights to the games they created at the developer. The situation got so bad during this time
