Kingdom Of The Dead Launches On Steam February 10
Developer Dirigo Games is just now finishing up Kingdom Of The Dead, their horror-themed first-person shooter. The game officially goes on sale next month. In terms of gameplay, Kingdom of the Dead will be pretty standard — you walk around, you see a thing, you shoot it, you see another thing, repeat. The twist comes in the presentation. The game is rendered in a nifty-looking black-and-white hand-drawn filter that makes the monsters you’ll face appear that much more foreboding. Why are you doing this? The backstory is that Death has decided to invade the overworld and conquer it, and he’s using his army of the undead to do so. You are Agent Chamberlain, former Army general and currently secret agent for a secret government program known as GATEKEEPER. The goal of the organization is to stop Death’s plan — he hasn’t made his big move yet, but if his forces could be weakened before then, humanity might have a chance.
