Nintendo has made it known for a while that they’ve wanted to expand the reach of their gaming IP’s. Thus, in 2015, they revealed that they would teaming up with Universal Studios to bring Nintendo themed attractions to both their theme parks in Orlando and Hollywood, as well as have a park in Japan itself. Now, via a press release and a Twitter post, Nintendo has revealed the title for these attractions, Super Nintendo World:
“Super Nintendo World will be comprised of expansive and multilevel environments filled with unprecedented state-of-the-art rides, interactive areas, shops and restaurants, all featuring Nintendo’s most popular characters and games” the release continues. The cost of the expansion in Japan is expected to exceed 50 billion yen, and will be built primarily out of the current parking area and a specially designated area.
Super Nintendo World will be populated by characters from the Super Mario series alongside other “globally popular” Nintendo characters. “Super Nintendo World will allow guests to fully immerse themselves and all five senses in the worlds of Nintendo, and is expected to attract guests from Japan and the world over.”
No details were given on what franchises would be represented outside of Mario, but it’s likely they’ll have games and rides to suit all fans.

This sure sounds like a fun idea and hope it comes to life how many gamers and nintendo fans would expect. I am not a crazy fan of theirs but I am excited and looking forward to this world. Hopefully one day I will be able to attend and take my brother with me who grew up playing nintendo, which was our first experience with gamimg.
HOLY COW! I need to visit it at least once in my lifetime. I swear that I've always dreamed of living in the same worlds as Mario. I hope they have a Bowser's castle ride of sorts or a cart that goes through a haunted castle filled with Boos and to not focus on mainly Mario, they can build some ride that has to do with swinging from vine to vine like Donkey Kong.
