While it may have been a huge risk at the time, the Skylanders franchise has boomed into a major money maker for Activision. Not only has both their games and figurines (which you use to play the game) sold well, they single-handedly inspired the creation of Disney Infinity, the Amiibos, and LEGO Dimensions.
But that doesn’t mean the Skylanders franchise is going to stay stagnant. The franchise continues to grow in many ways. First came bigger Skylanders, next game the ability to mix and match the character, and then you could capture your enemies in Trap Team. Now? You get to ride vehicles! Activision has announced the next installment in the franchise with Skylanders Super Chargers.
Skylanders Super Chargers is going to be the next iteration of the popular franchise. In the game, Kaos returns to be the main villain, but this time, he’s brought a huge warship called the Sky Eater to reign terror and…eat the sky. It’ll be up to your team and a crew of 20 new characters including the Super Chargers ,an elite group of pilots, to fight off the evils of Skylands. The vehicles are truly the highlight of the game, as you’ll be able to use jetpacks, submarines, boats, cars, helicopters, and more!
