The Gifted is another take on the X-Men universe, but as was revealed earlier, it’s one that doesn’t take place in the exact timeline of the movies, it’s instead something else.
For in this world, mutants are hunted openly, and both the X-Men and the Brotherhood aren’t around, or at least, people don’t know where they are. Cells of mutants are trying to survive, and when one family finds out two of their children are mutants, they must come together with others to protect them, to run, to hide, and to survive.
