Resident Evil Umbrella Corps Gets Free DLC
Per Capcom’s official blog, Resident Evil Umbrella Corps is getting a free DLC this week that will likely be of interest to fans. The new DLC offers a free map based on the classic, iconic Spencer Mansion from the original Resident Evil video game. The map will be available as a free DLC for the game. The map becomes available later this week.
The map will feature a layout similar to the first Resident Evil. Per Capcom, gamers will be able to “[u]se your memory of the Mansion’s unique layout to your advantage.” Considering it’s an iconic location for the series, the Spencer Mansion sounds like an overall great addition for the multiplayer shooter.
Hopefully, if fans respond to this one, Capcom could add more similar DLC maps for iconic locations from the franchise later on. Another fun idea for the map would be the Raccoon Police Department station from Resident Evil 2, There are many great locations from Resident Evil 4 or Code Veronica that would also be a perfect fit here.
Resident Evil Umbrella Corps is available now for PlayStation 4 and Windows PC. The Spencer Mansion DLC is due out on Thursday, July 7 for both platforms.
