E3 is quickly approaching, in less than a month, the big 3 (Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo) among numerous other video game companies (Square-Enix, Bethesday, Electronic Arts, etc.) will be showing off what we can expect from them both in the immediate future, and beyond. Truly, E3 is one of the biggest weeks for gaming.
In what is a firm tradition, many a company will be holding a special press conference to show off upcoming titles. For Nintendo though, they’ve spent the last few years doing special digital press conferences, and then doing events soon after. This year will be no different, as Nintendo’s E3 press conference will again be digital, but they’ll also again be doing a special Treehouse event afterwards, showcasing “even more games and guest appearances by developers.”
But wait, there’s more! During two days at E3, Mario Maker will be available to play at certain Best Buy locations on Wednesday, June 17, at 4-9pm local time, and noon-5pm local time on Saturday, June 20.
And as if that wasn’t enough, Nintendo is bringing back the Nintendo World Championships! These will kick off at certain Best Buy for gamers to try and earn a place in the finals, which will be streamed online! We’ll let you know when the full details become available!
In the meantime, get ready for rumors galore as we head towards Nintendo’s E3 press conference, which will air online 9am PT on June 16.
