Neverwinter Nights Is Set To Be Re-Released As An Enhanced Edition

Neverwinter Nights, one of BioWare’s early role-playing game hits, is going to be remastered. The 2002 title will be re-released as a special Enhanced Edition, bringing the experience to modern hardware with an array of graphical and performance upgrades. A livestream on Twitch by developers Beamdog should give us more details on exactly what the remaster will include.

The move follows a number of other BioWare games that have recently been re-released for modern computers. These have included Planetscape, Baldur’s Gate, Baldur’s Gate II, and Icewind Dale.

Neverwinter Nights was first released in 2002. It focused on the Dungeons & Dragons campaign world Forgotten Realms and saw players battling a dark cult as they slowly built up their character to become the ultimate hero of the story.
