In all forms of media, there are jokes that have been around for years. In the internet age, these jokes resonate with fans to such a degree that on most topics the joke will arise and get a laugh out of everyone.
One such “joke” is Half-Life 3. Despite Valve’s incredibly successful franchise have multiple high selling installments, and the previous entry ending on a cliffhanger, there has been nothing about Half-Life 3 being made. This, naturally, has gotten the fans into a stir, as they want the game, but know it most likely won’t be made for a very long time, if at all.
This has led to numerous comments, FB posts, tweets, and internet memes about Half-Life 3, on whether it’ll get made, or what’ll happen in the world the moment it gets announced for real.
Apparently though, fans aren’t the only ones wanting it. Developers want it to. Such as Neil Druckmann from Naughty Dog, who posted this tweet about the subject:
“Look, Valve, all I’m saying is you give us the Half Life license and we’ll take care of the rest.”
Funnily enough, there will probably be a lot of people who’d love to see this happen, as Naughty Dog has a great reputation for making great games. But as is insinuated in the tweet, it’s most likely not going to happen.
