My Adventures With Superman Takes Flight July 6
We’ve known WB’s My Adventures With Superman was coming since 2021. And up to now, that’s about all we’ve known. The studio has been very tight-lipped about when to expect it and even where it will show up (Cartoon Network? Adult Swim? HBO…er, Max?)
Turns out two of those were right. My Adventures With Superman will premiere on Adult Swim July 6, WB announced this morning. A day later, the premiere episode will be watchable on Max. The episode will also rerun on Toonami that following Saturday. The rest of the episodes will debut weekly in the same fashion. It’s worth noting it seems to be taking the time slots of Unicorn: Warriors Eternal, so that series will likely have finished its run at that point.
My Adventures With Superman is about a young Clark Kent who just started at the Daily Planet and also just began moonlighting as a flying man who wears his red underwear on the outside, but the title suggests the series’ main perspective will be from the racebent characters of Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen, who in this world are Asian and Indian respectively. Lois will be voiced by Alice Lee (Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist) and Jimmy will be voiced by Ishmel Sahid.
WB originally announced My Adventures With Superman on the same day they revealed Batman: Caped Crusader, a show they voluntarily let pass to Amazon Prime. They seem to have held onto this one, though. The series premieres Thursday, July 6 at midnight.
