Matrix Resurrections trailer reveals a lot
The Matrix Resurrections trailer
Matrix Resurrections Trailer reveals a lot of information. The trailer shows clues on what the plot will be. Here is the summary of the franchise to refresh you about the plot.
Alexa, Please play White Rabbit by Jefferson Airplane.
I remember in The Matrix Revolutions, Neo and Trinity died as a sacrifice for the humanity.
Everything that Neo ( Keanu Reeves) and Trinity(Carrie-Anne Moss) had fought for may have seemed gone to waste. They are strangers again. Most likely it is because they are under the control of the Matrix again. Is the simulation able to take them over again? Could this be an alternate reality where Neo remained as Thomas Anderson? Laurence Fishburne has left the franchise so his character Morpheus got recast with the Candyman star, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. The film may not be a continuation of the original trilogy. It is a complete reboot with actors of the original franchise reprising their roles. This movie almost cast Michael B. Jordan as Neo but Keanu Reeves’ newfound fame with John Wick could have helped. So this is not a soft reboot as theorized by the fans but a full reboot instead.
One of the most ironic scenes of the trailer is Neo is inside an elevator full of people who are focusing on their phones. The original movie was made when Smartphones are not yet invented. Now we live in a world where people became dependent on a small machine that they carry everywhere. Some of the scenes look like an easter egg that references the original films. The Blue Pill and Red Pill scene is once again shown with the blue pills flooding a sink. The dojo fight scene was in the original and it’s how Neo discovered his powers. There are clues that point this is a reboot but there are also clues that say it is a continuation.
