Not everyone owns a pair of those fancy VR goggles the big companies were pushing a couple years ago, but Throw Anything is the game idea that will make you wish you had one. In this fast-paced action title from developer VisualLight, zombies are advancing on your high-rise building, getting closer and closer to your apartment — and the only way to fend them off is to throw things. If you can see it, you can throw it — including people!
In Throw Anything, literally “anything” is destructible. No ammo? No problem! Destroy furniture and use whatever parts you end up with as both offensive and defensive weapons. If worse comes to worst, it’s time to dispense with the pleasantries – and grab/toss the nearest NPC into harm’s way for some extra credit. Do whatever you can to defend yourself as zombies clumsily attempt to scale your high-rise building … inching closer and closer to your room. Nail your salivating targets, and they might fall to their death several floors below – possibly even taking a few of their mangy cohorts along for the ride. Anything goes when survival’s at stake – right?
The finalized version of Throw Anything boasts several improvements over its beta version, including updated graphics and sound effects, new stages, an updated lobby area with playable minigames, a new Final Boss (“Mystery Scientist X”) and a newly added mission: collect all the cube relics!

Even before its official launch, Throw Anything proved to be especially popular in Asia, reaching the top of the Steam charts there. For those without VR goggles, VisualLight has landed a deal with VR arcade chains to produce a coin-op version. Hopefully it’ll arrive at a Dave & Busters near you.
Throw Anything is now out for HTC Vive, SteamVR, and Oculus Rift for $11.99. There will be a PSVR release later in the year.
