Crunchyroll’s Next Anime Nights Sneak Peek Comes June 15

Crunchyroll’s monthly Anime Nights theatrical program will be screening three advance previews of upcoming series soon. Two of these are second seasons to existing shows, while one is entirely new: “Young Ladies Don’t Play Fighting Games.”

Before you raise your hand to complain about the sentiment in that title, the show itself agrees with you. It’s an ironic use, like that time when a show called itself “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.” Yorue Mio seems like the most refined, elegant student at Kuromi Girls’ Academy, and she’s the one newconer Mitsuki Aya wants to imitate. What she doesn’t realize is that it’s all an act , in private, Mio is a hardcore gamer who excels at fighting games. Does this change anything? No….Aya now wants to beat her more than ever, this time on screen.

The other two sneak peeks are for Skeleton Knight In Another World Season 2 and Clevatess Season 2. Read on for full descriptions of each.

• Young Ladies Don’t Play Fighting Games

Mitsuki Aya has one goal at the elite Kuromi Girls’ Academy: to become a refined young lady like the school’s flawless “White Lily,” Yorue Mio. But her image of Mio shatters when Aya accidentally catches her…playing fighting games?! Turns out, the elegant Mio is actually a hardcore gamer, and she wants to duel Aya! The battle (and their friendship) begins.

• Skeleton Knight In Another World – Season 2

When Arc wakes up, he discovers that he has been transported to another world in the body of the character he was playing in an MMO. Looking like a suit of armor on the outside and a skeleton on the inside, he is the Skeleton Knight. If his identity is discovered, he could be mistaken for a monster and become a target! Arc decides to spend his time as a mercenary so as not to attract attention to himself. However, he’s not the kind of man who can stand idly by when he witnesses evil acts take place right before his eyes!

• Clevatess – Season 2

One of the Lords of Dark Beasts, Clevatess’s reign shatters when he revives a hero he personally slayed and adopts an orphaned humanoid baby, the last hope to save a dying world. Now bound together, what fate awaits this unlikely trio?

All three episodes will be presented in sub form, on one singular night, June 15.
