Justice League Vs. Suicide Squad Teased
The first big event from DC Comics since their Rebirth relaunch is going to put the Justice League Vs. the Suicide Squad. This is actually very good timing, as the Squad had a successful debut at the box office, and the Justice League film is right around the corner. And the actors behind the Suicide Squad have said they would love to have a film featuring them against the League.
But for now, we have to settle for the comic, which is helmed by Joshua Williamson, who teased what’s coming to ComicBookResources:
“I think one of the big surprises in this series is that someone’s gonna go boom,” he revealed. “Like someone’s going to explode, and I don’t think you’ll expect who it’s going to be, but also the person who pulls the trigger is going to surprise people.”
The twist here is that though it’s primarily about the action between these two groups, there’s a third group that DC Comics recently revealed that’s really the catalyst for the event, and for what’s to come:
“Max Lord has brought together a group of villains with Emerald Empress, Lobo (the classic look), we have Rustam, we have Doctor Polaris. We have Johnny Sorrow, who was a JSA villain that I always loved, and then there’s another character in the book we haven’t announced yet that I think we’re announcing soon, but will definitely be a big part of this story.”
