The Just Cause series has been known for numerous things, not the least of which is over-the-top action, insane stories, and massive worlds for the players to explore. Just Cause 3 alone was massive in virtually every way possible, and players truly enjoyed modding the game on the level that Fallout and Grand Theft Auto get. But the question has been for a while, will there be a new entry? Well, during E3 2018, Square Enix revealed that Just Cause 4 is coming.
Here’s a brief breakdown of the game via a press release from Square Enix:
Set in the fictional South American world of Solis, JUST CAUSE 4 takes the series incredible destruction and unique physics to a whole new level with the introduction of tornadoes and other Extreme Weather events. JUST CAUSE 4 has four distinct biomes: Rainforest, Grasslands, Alpine & Desert. With each biome offering its own individual, fully simulated weather event, players will have a truly unique experience as they traverse this deep, diverse world.
It’s hard to deny that the use of weather like this is something unique, and in fact, it’s only possible because of the new Apex engine that Square Enix is using for the game. Though there’s no footage of these events just yet, it’s very likely we’ll be getting a view of this sooner rather than later. Especially because the game is coming out on December 4th to Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
