Indivisible Just Got A Stealth Release On Switch…And That’s Not The Weirdest Part
Ever since the initial release of Indivisible in October of 2019, the comment has been made over and over. “it’s nice ‘n all that Indivisible is on PS4 and PC….but where’s the support for the device I truly want it on?” We passed into 2020 with no word on a release date for the Switch version, even though one was promised.
On April 27 / 28, in the middle of the night, Indivisible silently appeared on the Nintendo eShop.

Yes, it’s technically there. But before you rush to get it, you should probably read all of this. There was no announcement in the days leading up to this surprise release. The game’s trailer never appeared during the most recent Nintendo Direct even though it was a demanded title. And you know who else wasn’t expecting an April 28 release for Indivisible on Switch? The guys who made the game.
HEY, THAT THING EVERYONE WANTED?@IndivisibleRPG is out RIGHT NOW digitally for Switch in North America!
Feel like you missed the announcement? You're not alone, our team found out because people on Twitter sent us congratulations! I had no idea! But there it is! :^P

Lab Zero Games only became aware of the existence of Indivisible on the eShop because their Twitter followers began thanking them. They had to purchase the game themselves to see how it handled on the system. You might think that’s odd if it’s their game…well, here’s the truth: Lab Zero did not make the Switch port of Indivisible. The publisher, 505 Games, chose to farm that duty to another studio.
The end result is that the game was not only released with no warning, but that it is missing some of the extra features that Lab Zero added to the PS4 and PC versions through updated patches, like a New Game Plus mode and co-op play.
No release date announcement, no lead-up PR at all. 🦗
It's missing current features like co-op.
The eShop art is the wrong image. This launch does not represent the quality standards of Lab Zero. It just doesn't. I'm sorry. It wasn't us.
But hey, it's 20% off! :^) pic.twitter.com/pFr0k6hSMT

To compound matters, there was a Kickstarter campaign for Indivisible and many backers chose a Switch copy. None of them have yet received a digital key. And yet there the game is, currently taunting them.
Aside from all this, Zaimont says the Switch version does not have any glitches or slowdown issues, and aside from the missing patch features, is a flawless conversion. It just…probably won’t sell as well because nobody was notified the thing was there. Indivisible just got Sega Saturn’d.
After multiple press requests for a comment, 505 Games finally responded to US Gamer by stating the early release was “due to an unexpected series of events” and that “we had scheduled an early May release date.” Zaimont has also been informed a patch is on the way to add the missing features. As for the physical copy (which some backers ALSO paid for), Limited Run Games has yet to weigh in.
