The Guardians of the Galaxy have been on a role since their live-action film debut a few years back. They’re now one of Marvel Comics most popular properties. With each of the original five character having their own solo comic, and of course the team book. Plus, their sequel is set to arrive in a little over two months. But one of their best achievements may just be that they’re having a game made for them by TellTale Games. And today, we got not only the first art for that episodic series, but also, the synopsis for the season:
“Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series is a brand new story of the universe’s unlikeliest heroes: Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket, and Groot. In the wake of an epic battle, the Guardians discover an artifact of unspeakable power. Each of them has a reason to desire this relic, as does a ruthless enemy who is the last of her kind, and who will stop at nothing to tear it from their hands.
From Earth to the Milano to Knowhere and beyond, and set to the beat of awesome music, you wear the rocket-powered boots of Star-Lord in an original Guardians adventure, where your decisions and actions drive the story you experience.”
So, as you can see, this game will appeal to those who’ve seen the movie, or have read the comics, while also being accessible to new people to the franchise. The game will be shown off at PAX East, and is set to arrive later this Spring.
