Gamescom 2017: Royal Blood Detailed
At Gamescome, new games were shown off to the public for the first time. The team at Game Evil took the time to show off their upcoming title, one that is meant to change a genre: Royal Blood.
Introduced as the “next generation of mobile MMORPG gaming,” Royal Blood is an ambitious undertaking for the South Korea-based mobile games publisher and developer. Over one hundred developers and designers are dedicated to delivering an epic scope rarely experienced on mobile games. Royal Blood will feature a living open world that intelligently integrates live events and quests to provide seamless cooperative gameplay. The game will also give players a chance to participate in massive 100 vs. 100 “Realm vs. Realm” battles. Finally, players can shift their characters’ playstyles mid-battle using the “combat-stance system,” opening the possibility for increased combat options. In addition to new gameplay features, the keynote speech revealed details about Royal Blood’s development history and storyline, which heavily ties in themes of royalty and blood lineage.
Royal Blood has been in development for over two years and continues to garner attention from the gaming community for its exceptional visuals and immersive gameplay. Earlier in the year, it took home the “Best Graphics Award” at MWU (Made with Unity) Korea Awards 2017. Royal Blood will be a large part of GAMEVIL’s initiative to enter the emerging global mobile MMORPG market and solidify its reputation as one of the top mobile game companies in the world.
Its multiplayer gameplay will scale with a high concurrent player base and the company expects this unique feature to appeal to not only a wide audience but also traditional PC MMORPG gamers.
No word on release for the game just yet.
