Major Nelson has once again revealed the games that are going to be offered to Xbox Live Gold members throughout July through the Games With Gold program. Most surprising is the inclusion of The Banner Saga 2, a game that is only due to release in the next month for the first time, giving players free access to the title as soon as it becomes available.
The sequel to the tactical role-playing game that originally released in 2014 was due to launch on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on July 26 but will now release on the first day of the month on Microsoft’s console while the PS4 version will become available on the PlayStation Store from July 5. When the special Games With Gold promotion ends, The Banner Saga 2 will revert to its price of $19.99.
The rest of July’s game come in the form of Tumblestone for the Xbox One, Rainbow Six Vegas 2 and Tron: Evolution – both of which will be playable on the newer console thanks to backwards compatibility.
