Yutaka Hirose

Shougo! I want you to rank all of the characters that Hirose has played, from your best to worst, seen in all of his appearances (be it as a regular Sentai villain seen above or guest stars in Metal Heroes) :D

Shougo! I want you to rank all of the characters that Hirose has played, from your best to worst, seen in all of his appearances (be it as a regular Sentai villain seen above or guest stars in Metal Heroes) :D

1 - Flashman's Wanda & Liveman's Kempu (Consider it a cheat, but I can't decide between those two)
2 - Dairanger's Jin Matoba/Makenshi Jin
3 - Jetman's Toranza
4 - Changerion's Kazuki Katagiri/Zander
5 - the soldier he played in Changeman (small part, but he shared the screen with Change Dragon, damn it!)
6 - Kamen Rider Black's Hayami
7 - the crook he played in Solbrain
8 - the groom from Juspion
9 - the dog-man from Changeman
10 - the Winspector character
11 - the thug that's on screen for one second in Bioman
12 - the gratuitous character he played in Agito

It's nearly impossible to try to rank those appearances he made as an extra! Nevertheless, the tiniest of Hirose appearances tops the Agito one, IMO. They completely waste him there -- I still think Inoue wrote Kino/Another Agito for him, and that would have been too cool for words. (Although I still think Takanori Kikuchi is great in the role.)

Hirose's also supposedly in Shaider somewhere, but I couldn't find him. I'm guessing it's as brief as his appearance in Bioman.

Hirose's role in Jetman as Emperor Tranza is his best role for me. He really made a mess out of Jetman eventhough he just appeared during the latter part of the series. In contrast, his regular role in Liveman as Dr. Kemp/Bijuu Kemp/Kyoju Kemp is the worst and most lame role he has ever portrayed. Hirose may have appeared throughout the entire Liveman series (except during the final episode) but his role as being part of arguably the weakest group of sentai villains ever, Buso Zunogun Volt, just didn't make him awesome.

20 years after Liveman premiered, we can now see another group of sentai villains which can rival Volt as far as being weak is concerned, Bankizoku Gaiark. The good thing about Gaiark is that they are facing a weak group of sentai heroes just like what Volt experienced when facing off against Liveman. Those weak sentai heroes whom the Gaiark are facing are the Goonger, whose colors are identical to those of Liveman's.
