YouTube going HD in 3 months!?

It would be good if people with slower connection can connec faster too. However, this is a plus. Will downloads via Vdownloader be in better quality also?

Most people are already on fast connections. It's standard now, to have at least Cable/DSL. If you're still on anything slower, then... I just don't know what to say to that.

Im on a Good 512k Connection ( Australians Internet is really crap, thanks to our Prime Minister whos doing nothing about it ), but most People I know/ People they Know are either on 512k OR 256k, Which is pretty damn slow compared to what other Countries have.

You do realize that there are areas, that don't have the option to get any type of high speed internet, right? I got lucky when they brought high speed through here after years of the cable company talking about it.

I'm sure, there is. That doesn't change the fact that they are behind with the current connection standards.

Sorry to say, but when companies are looking to do something, like what YouTube is doing by going HD, the regions that are in fact, behind, aren't the first in consideration. That's just the way it is.

All I want to know is if this means people won't have to upload shows in three and four parts anymore.

I doubt it. It's already going to cost YouTube enough money as it is to carry out this idea. I can't imagine them getting rid of their 10 min/100MB video restrictions.
