[J-TALK] Your first J-drama?

Thought I make this thread since there aren't that much here in the section.

So, what was your first Japanese Drama?

Mine was Trick, watched it back in '08. From there I ventured a little bit away from toku after that XD

Mukodono 2003, I think I saw it in 2006. I saw it because I heard Suenaga Haruka (BoukenPink) was in it.
it didn't ignite my interest for J-drama until I saw Death Note in the same year, which made me started watching more J-dramas.

Hhhmmm...I think the first drama that peaked my interest was Great Teacher Onizuka! A great intro to Jdrama I must say

My first was Gokusen, which I watched because I heard there were lots of toku actors in it. :loltongue:

I went back and watched a couple episodes of it again this past week and actually recognized more of the actors from other dramas, at this point, than the toku guys. They were mostly bit parts, anyway.

Densha Otoko was the first J-Drama I ever watched, though it somewhat overlaps with Hana Yori Dango, but I pretty much watched everything I could back when J-Dramas were still new to me.

My first was Tokyo Ghost Trip in 2008. It was the one that got me into Renn Kiriyama in the first place :P

I still have no idea what the HELL goes on in the last three episodes (and they're the ones that really matter) because they're not subbed by any subbing group :shakefist

... and I am already willing to PAY someone to translate it for me.... :redface2:
