"Yo, stop acting Black!" ...How do you act Black?

This is probably one of those "controversial" topics, but I just can't stand it when someone says that! And vice-versa, "Your Black...but you don't ACT like it..." I mean...what?

Being a Black African American myself, I've never personally been asked/told that directly to my face. But I can tell by reading a person (often times a Black person) that they want to say it to me. So I ask...HOW DO YOU ACT BLACK? Am I missing something here?

When we say "Hello/Hi, How are you?" people aren't used to us using the english language, so when they hear intellegence spew out of our mouths they jump like a scared cat..or shall I say Pussy, in ebonics.

My aboslute favourite is a white guy who talks with a JaFAKEan accent. This one guy I met did it and I could not stop laughing at him for looking like a complete idiot. If I was Jamaican I would have punched him in the face.

Oh of course not. No not at all, not all people, BUT it can be all kinds of races.

I know what DB is talking about too when they give you that stare, It's like an I'm about to spread a rumor smile or it's a "wtf is wrong with you? Are you insane?" stare.

I think it's best to try and be yourself as much as you can and don't let other people's opinions phase you. I used to have a white gf that "acted black" and lots of my friends called her out on it, but honestly what difference does it make?
