Stop-Motion Animated Films That Are Must-Sees for New Fans?

[San Goku]

I'm relatively new to stop-motion animation and fascinated by the artistry behind it. I've enjoyed some classics like "The Nightmare Before Christmas" and "Coraline," but I'm looking for recommendations on other films that really showcase what this medium can do. What stop-motion animated films do you think are essential watching for beginners?

If you're venturing into stop-motion, you can't miss "Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit." It's such a charming blend of humor and craftsmanship that really showcases Aardman's signature style. Another must-see is "Isle of Dogs" by Wes Anderson; the distinct visual style and meticulous detail in every frame is just stunning.

Have you checked out anything from Laika, like "Kubo and the Two Strings"? Their work is top-notch and really pushes the boundaries of what stop-motion can achieve. What are you hoping to see more of in your stop-motion journey?
