FF2 Wouldn't strategy guides make things boring?

Final Fantasy II (1988): A group of youths joins a rebellion against a brutal empire led by a power-hungry emperor. It ditched traditional leveling for a skill-based growth system that increases stats through use. AKA Final Fantasy, FF2, FFII
There is a reason why cheats and walkthroughs are posted on sites and on YouTube. It all comes down to why we want to use them. I would imagine that using cheats sometimes makes the game interesting. Some cool objects appear and make your attack stronger while at the same time retaining your zeal for the game. If your intention is only to get through the game as fast as possible, you may end up getting bored before even completing all levels. Some levels are unusually difficult and you absolutely need to use a cheat or watch a walkthrough video. It is however not the same for every gamer. Some people will find all levels easy and respect to them!
I completely agree that there are some levels which can be cleared only after following a particular action or object. Moreover, the required action and object is hidden somewhere and not easily accessible. In these cases cheats are the only resorts that can help us to pass through. Following the cheats is sometimes better than quitting the game forever.

I think yes it will make the game boring if you already know what to do and what is next. There will be no thrill for me if I watch or read the walktrhough of the game, its like watching movies that you already know the story. I want to solve the hidden items and quests by myself.

I agree. The fun associated with making new discoveries all by self is incomparable. Only a true gamer can understand the real importance of dealing with tough phases of any game. The Final Fantasy game series offers many such occasions. The real gaming spirit lies in consistent trying with different game plans. One should keep exploring each and every area of the game plot to find hidden items.

There are many who follow the cheats regularly. Such kind of people doesn't like to get stuck up in any part of the game. They want to keep moving ahead at a regular pace. These people are only concerned with completing the game, irrespective of the methods taken.
I think cheats were designed for the testers to test out the game limits. So it's something that can happen for most games. Otherwise testing becomes hard and slow. I think if testers leak the cheat then yes that could be one problem.

Can you please elaborate what you mean by testers for testing the game limits? I cannot understand your point.

Every game designed goes through quality control process. Testers are the one checking if any game has bugs. Like not opening starting or something. Finding faults in the game. So that's a good option for making a better games. In that case you can see that testers are the one who do this work. That's why cheats and strategy guides.

Yes indeed, making your own way throughout the game is really exciting and fun. But sometimes, I can say struggle is real man, there are times that you really don't know what to do, even if you try harder, this is where walkthroughs and guides becomes handy.

I have always wondered what it would be like to be a tester. It sounds great but for some reason I can see it kind of ruining things for me, but maybe it depends on the game.

I think some people take video games to serious sometimes(hardcore gamers)-but to me it's just entertainment and fun-so I am not going get bent out of shape. I think I would get a few pointers from YouTube-but I would like to just figure it out myself over time-but I understand those people that want to win at video games, or darts,or other sports, because it may just be their nature though?

Walkthroughs also save you time since you will not get lost.
I think walkthroughs on the youtube and the other places save a lot of time. And you don't make mistakes. And learn how to deal with the enemies. So surely that's something we can try out in the process to learn games.
