Would you watch HK subs?

I'd watch them. They're better than nothing. But would much prefer regualar subs.

I would watch them, despite all the character mess up, grammar and so on. It would be better to have other subs when you can view them.

Once upon a time when my computer sucked and my connection was slow it was the best option and I just loved being able to watch tokusatsu.

Now... no need anymore.

Just to play devil's advocate, there are some series that aren't likely to get fansubbed for any one of many possible reasons. Given the choice between having no subs at all and having grammatically awkward HKs, I'll deal with the awkward grammar. Despite all the proclamations of them being the worst idea since the battle thong, they won't kill you.

Besides, if it weren't for HK subs we wouldn't have gotten moments like "Scorpion Penis" or "Don't Molest The Lawyer!" that live on in tokufan lore to this day.

HK Subs...always good for a laugh:laugh: I only watch HK subs for anime, really.


Still, I find it HILARIOUS when a person says something in english, and the subtitles on HK subs will always, always get it wrong.

I've had to watch HK subs in order to watch all of Ryuki and a pretty good chunk of Fist of the North Star, so I'll watch shows with HK subs if it's my only option, but I would GREATLY prefer a proper subbing/dubbing job.
