Would you still watch newer Kamen Rider series...

I probably should have titled this: Do you think newer Kamen Rider shows would work as a different type of hero series. I saw the promo for Fourze, and while I like the design because it looks retro, it made me start thinking how un-kamen rider related a lot of the new series seem to be. So my idea was, Toei could have kept the main name of each series (Blade, Hibiki, etc.) and referred to the series as a whole as just Kamen Heroes or whatever (like Metal Heroes). And that way they could expand on them even further than they already have. Because when I think of the Kamen Rider franchise, I feel like I should at least see previous Riders show up occasionally to fight along with the new one.

Would I? Hell, yeah! Even if it keeps airing for another 50 years!.

What would throw me completely off the series would have to be a child as protagonist. Prime example-what they did to Den-O in the movies was silly, when Ryoutaro was childified. (Now I can forgive the little scene in the Den-O movie w/ Gaoh)

Kamen Rider in W were a bit more than just that.

They were named Kamen Rider by Fuuto. Eternal shared similarities with W and Accel and hence decided, I'm the new generation, I'm a Kamen Rider.

Point, but that bro needs (or needed) to bet a bike, heh.

I've also never figured out why BOARD specifically designed their defensive systems around the idea of motorcyles, even going so far to dub it the "Rider System."

You say that is seems un-kamen rider... but how? Each Kamen Rider series have always had common themes and some iconic things, but in the end the stories are different in a way. Even in the showa ones (although more similar). But now, in the heisei-era, I think Kamen Rider is what it's supposed to be. Kamen Rider have evolved, but that doesn't mean it isn't Kamen Rider anymore, or that it doesn't "seem" like Kamen Rider... because that's what is is! :P If you get it haha.

In my opinion, as long as the bug eyes (or some variety of it) and the bike are there, and the main story isn't too far-fetched... it's fine. Kamen Rider, which means Masked Rider... is just that. In some series that name/concept is expanded upon of course. Like in W for example.

In Double Forever they didn't really accept him as a Kamen Rider, even though he claimed he was one. But also... in W it pretty much isn't about the bike (although that helped them get the name), but it's about who they are and what they stand for. And if you watch the Eternal movie, I think you'll accept him as one.
