Probably not if we can still use MegaUpload and other stuffnjunk..

Actually that doesn't make sense. All the encodes that are uploaded to MegaUpload and the likes originally come from Japanese P2P systems such as Winny. The same goes for torrents. If the Japanese P2P were to be shut down, we can all kiss the raws (and fansubs) goodbye.

According to a friend of mine the Japanese government has started hunting down distributors on Winny, mostly those that share music files. Perhaps this conviction is part of that stricter policy in regards to file sharing in Japan?
