Remeber that show "Married with Children?" Well, One soccer mom took her kids out to watch a live taping (I think it was or it was a rerun.) of it, because it had the word children in it. It happened to be an episode where they were talking about Periods. Soccer Mom then sent a letter/complaint to Fox about it. I think Fox's reply was "STFU."

So that's the reason why? I remember crying so much when I could no longer watch Power Rangers in Space on free television.

It was only banned in Canada in 1993.

I remember waaaaaay back... way back when the dinosaurs still roamed the Earth >_> ...ok, not that long ago. During the good old days when there was some dude called PJ Phil (?) on YTV in Canada and they showed Power Rangers on that station. Is that why it was never shown again on YTV? ...after that, like you said Fox Kids became the only option.


On the topic of soccer moms, I remember a friend in high school who's mother was a "soccer mom" (I think... well, it seemed like it). He was the oldest of three kids... and the whole family did go to soccer practice together every week... and the mother was also over-protective of her "little angels".

The said friend was expected to call his mom for permission to go everywhere... like when we had a group project for school, he was expected to call his mom when he arrived at my house. And also call his mom when we had to go out to eat or get something or whatever. >_>

Yup, our local Asian boy Phil. I remember him. But ya YTV was awesome for airing MMPR but the soccer moms here cried like whores and Phil even made the announcment that it was banned in Canada.
