Your half right, You see Kamen Rider was re-introduced in 2000 and the Metal Heroes series intergrated with Kamen Rider.

I guess we can put the "Rider Like" Warriors in the Metal Heroes Category. :sly:

No Disney version of beetleborgs but they can adapt Kabutack since Saban then didn't adapt it. also Kabutack was a B-Fighter sequel so i bet Disney will call this "Big Brave Beetlebots" which the same way Saban called it the Big Bad Beetleborgs.

Apparently, Toei/Bandai miss doing the Metal Hero Series (which were pretty much made as toy commercials). But at the same time, the Metal Hero Series never had the marquee value of Masked Rider, so essentially the newer Masked Riders, without the late Shoutarou Ishinomori, are the Metal Heroes under a different name.

I guess that'll change with the new Kikaider series supposedly coming out next year.

The downfall of the metal heroes was the identity crisis it suffered with the '90s programs. Shows like Winspector were just so odd, they barely even seemed like metal hero shows.

Also, a few of the directors who are working on the Kamen Rider shows now were just starting their careers (usually in the second unit) with the '90s metal heroes. For example, Hidenori Ishida was assistant director on Winspector, eventually going on to direct episodes for B-Fighter and B-Fighter Kabuto; Ishida was chief director of Blade and Kabuto, and those two are really reminiscent of the '90s metal heroes, IMO. I think that's what plays the biggest part in new Rider shows seeming so metal hero like.

Toei simply ran out of metal because it will be used for the Heisei-era Kamen Rider Series and probably ran out of persons who will suit up as Metal Heroes as shown by the robot dog Robotack.:disappoin

Actually, until B-Fighter, the "Rescue Heroes" portion of the Metal Heroes were a little more than weak RoboCop ripoffs (ironic since the Space Sheriffs INSPIRED RoboCop).

The problem with B-Fighter Kabuto was that they overdid it (to try to sell more toys), just like in the Super Sentai Series at the time. It became a scope creep.

This is why this guy needs to run ****. I love being educated about Tokusatsu and it's only Shougo who seems to do this.
