Why did Great Professor Bias commit those mistakes?

Watching Liveman,i ask myself some questions about decisions of Professor Bias.
We see in the sentai he is weakened by his age before getting the perfect brain.
Yet, we know that Volt Empire has the knowledge to make mechanized bodies.

Mazenda was able to create a 90% mechanized body, and even changed herself into a robot.

So why did Bias kept his human body, only having a metal arm?We know he needs his human brain to mind control the world,but yet, he could have done like Mazenda.But maybe he is even not as good as Mazenda regarding robotic?

(Mazenda is to me the most clever member of Volt,she was able to defeat Super Live Robot, and would not have lost if Go had not talked to her)

Also, i think Bias was really careless to sacrifice all his allies, he lost because his ship was not guarded enough,with just Gush to protect him, and the creep soldiers Jinmers, which made Yuusuke attack easier.

For me He is one ofd the most selfish villains in story of Sentais, and his selfishness drove him to his defeat.

I have still alast question, maybe a bit offtopic, regarding the brains used to create monsters, are they human brains taken on human victims, or just symbols?

I didn't think he used his past students' brains to create the monsters, but he did keep the brains of the smartest in that private room of his so that he could continue living and enhance his intellect. (What I want to know is why, if his students take on new names upon joining Volt like Kemp, Mazenda, Obular and Ashura, that one of them decided to call himself "Smith".)

As to why he didn't create a mechanical body, I thought the point was to retain his youthfulness. Becoming a cyborg may not have achieved that end. It's like how Kemp had his Narcissus complex and tried to make himself into a "handsome" monster to show off how gorgeous he was.

Volt was always about Bias. I think his eugenic goals were still genuine, but he was never going to allow anyone else to share in his power. Except perhaps Gash. Which reminds me of that episode where Tetsuya posed as a kid's robot friend. Maybe Gash was Bias's only friend.
