It's a good idea for a monster, but the design is incredibly boring. That's just as well though, as the majority of the episode was quite rightly focused on the drama around Go and his Mother.

I watched the full Go arc and episode 22 in one sitting. Here's my reactions, using only words that start with G:
19: "Goofy, Good Grief, Guh?"
20 "Go! Getting Good!"
21 "Good! Great! Greatest!"
22: "Goddammit."

I think Butchi is what Ferbus from Saban's Masked Rider evolves into at level 15. That was such a disappointment after the climb to perfection that was the Go arc.

Personally I didn't mind Butchi that much, I found the guest of the week far more tedious to deal with. Either way, 22 is average at best and certainly not a good follow up to the Go arc. I think they should have waited an episode or two before introducing yet another new villain.

I really don't like Butchy or Gildos, and I always thought they were forced into the show as a way to lighten things up and have villains that aren't human and/or ex-friends. They just don't really belong, they'd fit in Fiveman better.

Episode 23 is half-way decent. Episode 24 sucks.

The biggest problem with 24 was the fact that the show had already come down really hard on Cram schools with Omura's backstory, so Yuusuke and everyone being largely okay with them now is thematically out of place. Also, that it's a weak episode with no connection to the larger plot set down in the previous episode.

Yeah. Well Guildos made a great first appearance. But yeah... he was pretty silly and forgettable in the end.
Butchy was pretty stupid from the start. But he did give us 2 very nice Megumi eps

That's just the impression I get from the show, not anything that I read was for certain.

Yes. Yes. I wish the show's writing was always on par with the Go arc and this episode.

Huh, personally I didn't think this episode was anything special, just another "help the guest of the week" deal. Not bad, just not great.
