Where to start with Showa Sentai

So after being underwhelmed by Go-Onger, which I liked but gave up in the middle. I decided on going to pre Power Ranger era Sentai. However I have no idea where to start. However Flashman, Liveman and Maskman appeal to me. Any other suggestions? Or avoidances?

Jetman is considered one of the best pre-Zyuranger/PR Sentai series.
Other than that, I think everything between that and Dynaman are pretty good for someone who is used to newer Sentai shows.
The "pre-spandex" era as I like to call it, is also cool, but you really have to like old-school toku to enjoy them, as they have a more classic superhero feel to them, where the characters are very two-dimensional, and the overall plot is simply just to save the day and nothing else.

Changeman. Watch Changeman, it is in my opinion the best sentai of the 80's, with Flashman as a close second.

 

[Aoi Kurenai]

If you're looking for subtitled shows, Maskman and Liveman are the only complete Shouwa series. Bioman isn't done yet, but there's a decent chunk of it out of the way. Though they aren't from Shouwa, Dairanger and Kakuranger are amazing shows in their own right.

 

[Burkion]

Bioman gets my vote. It's a fantastic Sentai that's super unique, both for it's time and even today.

 

[Clocktower]

Maskman, Liveman and Jetman.
Sun Vulcan if you want something even older and pretty goofy.
