Where do you rank Xros Wars?

So, it's more of 02 killing the franchise because it killed the interest of many fans of the series? I mean, 02 was milking the first season's success, and was really bad overall, especially since it was just a season banking of the first seasons plotline. Tamers, which came after the terrible season, suffered from the depletion that 02 caused. It was reboot, and it had wonderful characters and interactions, but people didn't care that much for Digimon anymore.

Eh, I wouldn't really blame 02 for it.

As I've understood things, the biggest reason for the massive drop-off from 02 to Tamers was that Tamers appealed more to a slightly older audience (mostly high school and college age) and the little kids who watched the first two shows got bored and left.

02, while it didn't do as well as the first series, still did pretty great. Tamers is where you see a massive drop off in revenue. Like I said, the drop between Tamers and Frontier isn't that big, but two years of shows not doing as well probably did them in.

I have to wonder if the people that hate on 02 do it simply to be part of that group that says "IT SUCKS" just to fit in. Zero 2 was simply amazing. I wonder how many of you LOVED it when it was on, and just hate on it now because that's what all the "cool kids" are doing. I wonder how many of you can be honest enough to admit you like it. I for one LOVED Zero 2. It had the original kids back to help the new kids. The new digimon were amazing, and Paildramon was amazingly sexy.


That out of the way. I loved Adventure and 02. I couldn't stand 90% of Tamers. The 3 back up kids were way more interesting than the main kids. Frontier was just awful. Savers was ok until they tried cramming 100 plots into such a small series.

Xros wars takes me back to the love I had of digimon with Adventure and 02. I love everything about xros wars. I am damn happy it is getting a follow up series.

Since I watched all of the series straight up from 1 to 4 , albeit the dubbed versions , I find that Tamers was the best because of how close the dub was to the original and since the storyline ,characters and plot were the best and the end made me cry.

02 was really cool , I loved the newer Digimon in comparison to the first season because of Veemon and Wormmon, the Digimon Kaiser saga and the fact it was a satisfactory continuation of the first series. I'm sure it would have been better if the series carried on to Tamers like it should have and that the three main digimon could have digivolved to normal mega forms.

Adventure, while it began my fandom back when I got the sweet Metalgreymon digivolution figure , it was pretty cool ,but it was weak in some places.

The reason why I listed Frontier over Savers is because Frontier ,while radically different in concept to the previous ones, pulled off the entire spirit evolution concept really well, though I terribly wished that those four other kids they met in the digital world had gotten the spirits to spice up the dynamic which got stale pretty quick, possibly been like the Psycho Rangers but defected or actually provided some good plot unlike the Green ranger arc ripoff we got .

I have a terrible taste for Savers because of the Data Squad dub, but I might see the original because that was good . This will probably go over Frontier. They literally fucked up the dub royally because I've seen the first episodes of both and the original is far better.

While I've only seen the first few episodes, Xros Wars has some potential.

I don't even hate 02. Digimon is the only frnachise where I can never truly hate a season. 02 had a lotta good things but the bad things outweigh it, which is why it's last on my list. Still, I don't really hate itt. It's not about being the 'cool thing' to hate 02, some people go back and look at the season and see its glaring flaws. I still enjoyed the season despite those flaws. Even looking back at Decade, which had flaws that make 02 look good, I still enjoy watching it.

I'm sorry I watched both the english dub of of Zero 2 and the japanese version of Zero 2... Digimon Adventure 02 is still my least favorite season...
