Where are all the hardcore Kung Fu fans?

Doesn't have to be Shaw Bros. but there's almost no way around them. They were kings of films. Practically all films that were made were from Shaw Bros. heh

I guess so...its just I like seeing the hero do what I do...I guess it helps me relate to the person I am rooting for. You know, all the men want to beat the bad guys and get the girl...:sweat:

Aren't pretty much all action and martial arts films over the top anyways?? Hheh I mean honestly , most of the **** seen and done in films aren't really going to happen the way they're portrayed to happen in real life as they are in the film. ...and that's why most people love to "escape" into them.

Actually a lot of the OLD movies have REAL styles and portray REAL capabilities. Some of them actually exaggerate them but most of the old school ones were based on REAL styles and REAL training methods. It just gets hard to tell which ones which...LOL!!!

Battle Wizard is one of the best movies EVER! Shaw Bros produces some other great fantasy kung fu flicks like Buddha's palm, Demon of the lute, Holy flame and so on! i love those movies so much!!!

I guess I'm just more of a down-to-earth fan. My favorites are always the traditional Kung Fu flicks. That may seem boring to some of you, but I just feel the really crazy sci-fi and horror infused films were kinda hokey.

Too be honest...I haven't seen ANY over the top Shaw flicks. I have just seen the traditional kung fu ones. All this talk about them is making me want to check them out...lol

Believe me when I say, the most over-the-top you wanna get is the ninja-like **** in Legendary Weapons of China. Any crazier, and it's totally cheesy. I know that's weird to say on a forum dedicated mainly to colorful suited superheroes, but they can get bad. :disappoin
